What makes our day services special

Day services at Thornage Hall

Thornage Hall Independent Living offers day services to adults (from 18 years of age) with mild-moderate learning disabilities. Set in the idyllic rural North Norfolk countryside on a 70 acre biodynamic farm, Thornage Hall offers a unique environment through which our service users nurture skills, knowledge and independence across a large number of indoor and outdoor workshops.

Group sizes in our workshops are small and will depend on the mix of service users in each group, but our maximum group size is on a ratio of 1:6. We are also able to offer 1:1 support, where a needs assessment and funding is in place.

Products produced within workshops are often available to purchase either via our online shop, or at our Summer and Christmas Fairs.

If you would like further information, please view our provision information document.

Attendance

While some individuals choose to join us daily, others opt for a more flexible schedule, attending one or two days per week based on their preferences

How do I get to attend?

  • First we arrange for you to visit and have a look around so you can decide if you think it is for you
  • You will then need to complete an application form
  • We will then arrange to meet you with your social worker to assess your needs and discuss what workshops you would like to attend
  • If you would like another visit or think a trial might be a good idea we can discuss that as well. We will then talk about how you will be funded and we can arrange for you to start

If you would like to arrange your initial visit, or have any questions about Thornage Hall, please get in touch.
